Crimson Noise is the studio of film composer Dominik Scherrer and is based in the Old Truman Brewery in London’s East End. It is also the home of Taxi Val Mentek, the avant-garde pop band / video art duo.

Dominik Scherrer has written the award winning score and theme for the Miss Marple series with Geraldine McEwan, the sci-fi hit series Primeval, the comedy Scenes of a Sexual Nature and the apocalyptic Nine Lives of Tomas Katz,amongst many others.

2.8.08: Primeval opens in the US on BBC America on Saturday 9th August 2008. Lead actor Douglas Henshall and creator Tim Haines went to LA to promote the sci-fi show.

29.4.08: Dominik Scherrer's charming and elegant score for the comedy Scenes of a Sexual Nature, starring Ewan McGregor and Sophie Okonedo is released on Film Music Downloads, and is also available on iTunes.

13.12.07: Riprendimi (US title: Good Morning Heartache) directed by Anna Negri will be premiered at the Jan 08 Sundance Festival and features a new score by Dominik Scherrer

8.8.07: Dominik Scherrer's haunting soundtrack for the movie The Honeytrap is released on CD, availbale from the usual outlets including Amazon and iTunes.

16.4.07: Life Line, a two-part supernatural love story written by Stephen Gallagher, starring Joanne Whalley and Ray Stevenson, with music by Dominik Scherrer, will air April 24th and April 26th on BBC One.

11.4.07: Three DVD releases with scores by Dominik: Scenes of a Sexual Nature, Primeval, and The Honeytrap - all available from the usual outlets.

12.2.07: On Saturday the first episode of ITV's sci-fi series Primeval attracted an impressive 7 million viewers.

15.12.06: Dominik has created the score for the new £6m sci-fi drama Primeval. Impossible Pictures produced the six parter, which will follow a team of scientists into prehistoric times through black holes. Will be on broadcast on ITV1 early 2007. see imdb.

Scenes of a Sexual Nature UK cinema release date announced: 3 November 2006. The sexually charged comedy stars Eileen Atkins, Ewan McGregor, Gina McKee, Sophie Okonedo, Catherine Tate and many more. See IMDB.

Dominik scored Jericho (4 x 2h), a thrilling period crime drama series on ITV, starring BAFTA winner Robert Lindsay as Chief Inspector Michael Jericho of Scotland Yard, investigating high-profile murders in 1950s London. Set in a fascinating period of Britain’s social history, London saw an explosion of colour and shifting attitudes after the Second World War.

The Nine Lives of Tomas Katz won the Best Score Award at the Estepona Fantasy and Horror Festival in October. The film also won Best Director. The Best film award went to Dario Argento's new film "No ho sonno".

Out now:Revival Indus: Night in Bengal. produced by Dominik Scherrer and tablaist Dilly Meah, featuring Hemel "Dr Pop" Muksed and Babul Rahman (voc). Dilly and Dominik will travel to Dhaka, Calcutta and Chittagong by to record another raga - dance crossover album with Bengali rock singers and traditional instrumentalists.

On ITV Sunday 7.5.06 at 9pm: If I had you. Sarah Parish stars in this one-off crime drama as DI Sharon Myers, who returns to her hometown in the picturesque Peak District . Also starring Paul McGann, Mark Benton and Poppy Miller. Dominik's score was recorded with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra in Prague.

10.4.06: Dominik has completed the musical score for Scenes of a Sexual Nature, a romantic comedy starring Ewan McGregor, Tom Hardy, Sophie Okonedo, Gina McKee, Hugh Bonneville, directed by Ed Blum. See more information and discussion on IMDB.

Dominik's score for Miss Marple wins the World Gold Medal for Best Original Music at the New York Festival International Television Programming Awards 2006.

Dominik's theme tunes for both Miss Marple and Jericho are on ITV 50 The Album - 50 Of The Best All Time ITV Theme Tunes. The CD is out on Virgin EMI and in the shops now.

The DVD Box Set is out and there are a further 4 episodes in the making of ITV's EMMY Nominated series MARPLE. Dominik's soundtrack will be released on CD in 2006.

On UK TV, the lush Scottish Widows ad, set in the theatre, directed by Sandra Goldbacher, with Dominik Scherrer's score featuring the singers Shahin Badar and Amanda Floyd. Watch it (9MB).
